A Better Way

Framing in Light-Gauge Steel

Steel vs. Wood

The Environment

In a time where everyone is striving to be environmentally friendly, Steelway International sets the standard. The average 1800 square foot home requires over an acre of trees – about 80, to be exact. The home built using the Steelway International system, however, uses the steel from 5-6 recycled automobiles. The vast majority of all light-gauge steel material is the result of recycling.

Furthermore, homes and commercial projects completed using the Steelway International system are rot-proof, termite-proof and non-toxic. And Steelway International homes and buildings don’t warp, crack, creak or split – they’re built to a high degree of accuracy because the vast majority of each project is built in our state-of-the-art factory facility.

How long does a home or commercial project built by Steelway International last? It’s safe to assume that a light-gauge steel building will last substantially longer than one built in wood. Simply put, steel won’t deteriorate anywhere near as fast as wood products will. When Steelway International builds a home or building, it’s there for the long haul.

At Steelway International, helping preserve our environment is one our foremost goals. We realize that the work we do today will make tomorrow better for future generations.
